The Metodi Festival is an annual international event held in the beautiful Alta Maremma Toscana. The festival is spread across the five different Italian Comuni (districts) located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Tuscan hills: Rosignano Mmo., Cecina, Guardistallo, Bibbona and Castagneto Carducci. The goal of the Metodi Festival is to elevate these communities by bringing the best of that international theater has to offer for the purpose of artistic research and multicultural exchange. During the 2009 edition, representatives from 11 nationalities were present at the festival, and the festival hopes that this event will encourage the birth of new and original theater experience incorporating the majesty of the communities that are hosting the festival.
